Auditions for the professional collaboration of “The Last Cyclist” by Naomi Patz and Directed by Mark Boergers will take place on Saturday, October 20th from 10am-4pm and Monday, October 22nd from 6:00pm-9pm.
All Auditions will be held in the Nancy Kendall Theater on the main campus of Cardinal Stritch University- see below for information and parking.

To Prepare: Auditioners should prepare 1 monologue loosely in the style of the play, not to exceed two minutes in performed length. Piece can be either dramatic or comedic in nature, as the play contains both elements of acting. Please bring all foreseeable conflicts during the rehearsal/performance process according to the commitment calendar outlined below.
Callbacks will be scenes/readings from the play and will occur on Monday, November 5th from 6pm-10pm
Commitment: First read through will be Saturday, January 26th at 1pm. See below approximate rehearsal schedule.
Some additional actor/designer research meetings may be scheduled (both on and off-site) according to resource availability (museum hours, speakers, etc).
Materials: The author has requested that the entire script not be posted prior to auditions. She has, however, also provided two documents along with a script excerpt to help with your preparation. Director is also available for questions about auditions at firstname.lastname@example.org
More information: This play will be performed in an immersive black box style configuration created on the deck of the Nancy Kendall MainStage. Audience size will be approximately 125 patrons. The show will have several talkbacks and/or enrichment activities surrounding showtimes that the actors will be asked to participate in.
Location: All auditions, rehearsals and performances will be located in the Joan Steele Stein Center for Communications and Fine Arts on the Main Campus of Cardinal Stritch University located at 6801 N. Yates Road. For auditions, please follow signs for the Nancy Kendall Theater and park in Lot 5. Check in at the desk in the main lobby of the theater near the box office.

“The Last Cyclist” is a collaboration between Cardinal Stritch University, The Holocaust Education Resource Center and the Jewish Community Center. Cast and Crew will be made up of a combination of Cardinal Stritch University students and Professional Actors/Designers/Stage Managers, etc. The exact cast breakdown will be decided at the audition according to what is best for the production, but the intention is to cast between 5-8 professional actors of all backgrounds and age ranges in the production. Professional actors will be paid a stipend.
